Welcome to the official website of the annual Pembroke & Allenstown Old Home Day celebration! On this website you will find
everything you need or want to know about our Old Home Day. From event times to archived pictures and volunteer committee members to
meeting times, everything is here. If for some reason something you are looking for can't be found please contact Jeff Roche with the
contact information on the bottom of this page.
The date for this years Old Home Day is Saturday, August 24, 2013. The annual parade starts at 10 with all of the days events starting directly after the parade at Memorial Field in Pembroke. Don't forget our 2013 theme, The Golden Age of Television. For any questions feel free to contact one of our committee members. Contact information can be found on the committee page.
Don't forget to stop by on Main Street in Suncook and listen to our pre-parade entertainment! The Amoskeag Strummers, sponsored by Tom and Michele Petit, will be performing on the announcing stage at the top of the village!
Don't forget our phenominal firework display sponsored by Associated Grocers of New England that will conclude the day's festivities! The display will begin, weather permitting, at dusk.
Safety is of the utmost importance to the Old Home Day committee. We are fortunate enough to have the towns of Pembroke and Allenstown
provide us with police, EMT, and fire services. They will be using the command center next to the Old Home Day booth to make sure that
everyone can have a safe and fun time at this years Old Home Day.
The police forces of Pembroke and Allenstown would like us to remind you that the following is not allowed at Memorial Field the day of the event:
pets, bikes, scooters, skate boards, roller blades, and segways
Please do not leave your pet in your vehicle! Police will take notice.
Thank's to our 2012 volunteers! We had a great turn out of volunteers Saturday night which allowed us to get the majority of the field cleaned
up Saturday night before the storm hit!
Old Home Day 2013 needs help! None of this would happen without the help of our volunteers. We still need volunteers to help make this years event possible. Friday, August 23 is the day we set up the event and we can use any help possible! If you are interested please contact Stephanie Cheney at (603) 491-2301 or Tina Courtemanche at (603) 485-8774. We also need volunteers for Saturday and Sunday! We aren't asking for your entire day, just as long as you can spare. Any hours spent helping us count towards community service hours.
